Door problems can range from a door that rubs the frame to a door that needs to be replaced entirely. Sometimes merely the door needs to be replaced, while at other times, the frame and door together must be reinstalled.

Exterior door jambs are often susceptable to rotting from water penetration, and portions of them can be cut out and replaced, or merely patched, depending on the amount of damage. Inserting a knife into the problem area will reveal the extent of the damage; wherever the knife sinks in, the wood is rotten.

Deadbolt locks can be added to nearly any existing door, or entire knob and lock sets can be replaced.
