Because termites had ruined this drywall, I removed the damaged portion, in preparation for new drywall, while preserving the baseboard for reinstallation.

 

I demolished and removed the wall, doorway, door, hanging rod, and linoleum floor pictured on the left. I had to do this work neatly and cleanly to allow for the next phase: patching the ceiling and walls, replacing the flooring, and adding shelving.
